Donnie Nietes defeated veteral mexican fighter Edgar Sosa to earn his flyweight first appearance in the primary match of Pinoy Pride 38 on Saturday, September 24 (Sunday, September 25 in Manila) at the StubHub Center in Carson, California.
It was actually Nietes very first combat at the flyweight limit of 112 pounds after upgrading from the light flyweight in which he rule as champ for several years.
