The Spectacles cameras captures clips from the perspective of users (POV), offers a 115-degree field of view. Just hit the button on the top left-hand side of the glasses to record a video for 10 seconds. If you want to extend the recording to 30 seconds, tap the button twice. Also, a light on the glasses turns on when they are recording.
And in addition, the glasses, which comes in 3 great designs, links to the Snapchat app and save the video recorded to the user account of the wearer, without being attached or linked to a smart phone. For iOS devices, the video can be download from the glasses via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth; on Android devices it will transfer via Wi-Fi.
“Circular video plays full screen on any device, in any orientation, and captures the human perspective with a 115-degree field of view,” the company mentioned in a article.
Although, the spectacles aren’t intended to be a completely serious product. Evan Spiegel, the company’s CEO, stated they are a “toy,” “fun” in order to steer clear of the social network’s 150 million every day users from carrying their smartphones “like a wall in front of your face”.
“Imagine one of your favorite memories,” Snap said. “What if you could go back and see that memory the way you experienced it? That’s why we built Spectacles.”
The company has also given itself a completely new identity. Snapchat, the corporation behind the app, is now calling itself Snap.
Snapchat has more than 100 million users worldwide for sending out clips, pictures and messages which vanish after being seen.
