Train to Busan star Gong Yoo revealed a potential sequel and teased his role returning as a living dead(zombie). “I talked about this with director Yeon Sang-Ho,” Gong said. “I said that I thought my character Seok-Woo might be living somewhere as a zombie, but director Yeon said that when Seok-Woo fell off the train, he broke his neck and died.” Gong Yoo might not be in the movie, but he recommended another character could star in the sequel.
The actor teased that perhaps Ma Dong Seok’s character might be in the film. Gong Yoo said that the sequel could possibly be a different story following what happened in the first movie. Also, several producers in the US and France have confirmed that they are interested to produce a sequel.
Among the interested companies, both Sony Pictures and 20th Century Fox like to grab the opportunity to produce a sequel. The film revealed its viewers what might occur in the event of a zombie apocalypse. Though, in contrast to other zombie thriller flicks, Train to Busan included a great deal of tear-jerking scenes. It’s not just violence, instead, it centered much more about how everyone responds to life and death incidents. Decisions must be made, and a sacrifices are expected.
