The most current release next to Cherry Mobile’s Flare X handset is bright in the form of the Flare X2, a smartphone boasting a scratch-resistant glass front and back exterior casing, along with a 4GB RAM specs at a cost under its other competitors.
At 7,999 pesos, Cherry Mobile has consistently proven that they’re focused on offering a bang-for-the-buck phone with the Flare X2. The next device to the Flare X2’s pricing is Vivo’s Y55, that is worth at Php 7,990. Still, the Flare X2 continue to win it in display size, screen quality, RAM and storage, and then the next best locally branded rival, the CloudFone Next, costs Php 9,999.

The entire design and style got the touch of Sony’s Xperia, although that’s not necessarily a bad thing, given that those devices seem quite amazing in the first place.
The Flare X2 feature a 5.5-inch full HD IPS display that includes Dragontrail glass protection. The display screen is visually superior apart from the edges.
On the right side of the unit is the location of the power button and volume rocker, while the 3.5mm jack is positioned on top. The left side of the mobile stores the microSD/SIM tray, and the USB port is placed on the base.
Turning the device over you’ll view the 16-megapixel back cam integrated with a BSI and LED flash tucked in the upper left area. The rounded fingerprint sensor is placed in the centre, while the speaker grille is situated underneath.
In general the phone’s design and style is a major upgrade in comparison to last year’s model. Build quality is high quality, without any noticeable creaks or gaps anywhere within the phone.
The Flare X2 is operated by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 430 octa-core processor, combined with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. That processor pairing isn’t unfamiliar with us, and has proved performance in other devices like the Cloudfone Next. The SD430 chipset is a reliable performer, and is competent to manage most Android apps (including heavy gaming apps) without having issue.
