A newly released “Wonder Woman” comic book features different places in the capital city of Metro Manila where the Justice League, a DC Superhero group have gathered.
In the newly released Wonder Woman #37, the fight between Wonder Woman and Darkseid, the tyrannical ruler of the planet Apokolips, occurred in the streets of Metro Manila. The battle happened in Ortigas, San Juan, and even the Justice League group assembled near the Edsa Shrine.
Metro Manila was featured in the Wonder Woman #37 because two Filipino artists, Jason Praz and Carlo Pagulayan have worked on it. They even feature some of Philippine’s culture in the story. In fact, the flying jeepney in the comic has a sign of “LODI Motors”.
Imagine the traffic and damages it would cause to these places if the battle between Wonder Woman and Darkseid’s had happened in real life. This would probably cause more chaos, especially when we talk about traffic in these areas.
In fact, the funny side of the story is, Wonder Woman, Darkseid, and the Justice League would probably feel tired in lifting and throwing cars in the air because there’s a lot of them in Edsa alone.
And heck, can you imagine Aquaman rising from Manila Bay or in Pasig River? Are you already imagining right now, what Aquaman could be bringing along with him from those places?
And how about the Justice League, would they ask help from our own team of superheroes in fighting forces of evil or they will just fight on their own? Would our superheroes and the Justice League join forces together?
After all, who wouldn’t want to see the Justice League and our own set of superheroes unite as one and fight together against forces of evils? It will surely be a one ‘Hella Fight’!
