Discover The Beauty of Lio Beach in Palawan

Lio Beach : Discover its beauty

Surrounded by virgin beaches, breathtaking landscapes, and turquoise waters, Lio Eco-Tourism Estate is the crown jewel of El Nido in the making. Located in an isolated area in my favorite island in Palawan, it’s hard to understand why this paradise hasn’t been featured as much as other travel destinations.

Pristine beaches, mesmerizing landscapes, crystal blue waters–this is what you’ll see in El Nido, Palawan, one of the most popular places in the Philippines. In fact, Palawan has been hailed multiple times as the “Best Island in the World”, a title it deserves because of its sheer beauty.

Being the popular tourist destination that it is, El Nido boasts a number of resorts, beaches and tourist spots that will surely take your fancy.

Lio Tourism Estate is Ayala Land’s first tourism estate located in El Nido, Palawan. This integrated resort community is just 15 minutes away from El Nido Town. Ayala Land also owns and operates the more private and exclusive El Nido Resorts which are located in enclaves just off the main island in Bacuit Bay, but rates can be pretty expensive, so Lio Tourism Estate is their answer for the mid-level travellers. Lio is bounded by the beach on one side and the mountains on the other, a prime location in El Nido which is renowned for its breathtaking vistas and cliffs, pristine beaches, plus hundreds of species of fish, corals and other birds endemic to Palawan. El Nido or “The Nest” actually got its name from the edible nests of the swiftlets that take refuge in the depths of its limestone cliffs.

How To Get There

Lio Tourism Estate is easily accessible for people outside Palawan since there are direct flights from Manila to El Nido, courtesy of Air Swift. Lio Airport is just two minutes away from the estate, so the distance definitely won’t be a problem. Flying to Puerto Princesa is recommended if you’re on a tight budget, though you will also have to make a 6-hour land transfer just to reach El Nido.

There are lots of tours available at travel and tour agencies, and these packages usually include the transportation from Puerto Princesa to El Nido. On the other hand, if you want to test the waters and try commuting on your own, you can easily catch a van or a bus going to El Nido at the City Public Transport Terminal.
